My favorite part about the internet is everybody’s ability to make just about anything funny. But do we ever stop to think about those people in the funny little pictures and gifs? Like, how they might have whole lives besides those quick moments? Here’s what the subjects of some of your favorite memes are up to and look like these days. Remember the popular memes like ‘side-eyeing Chloe’ and ‘bad luck, Brian?’ Well, now they’re all grown-up. From hysterical to awkward, the expressions these ‘celebrities’ made are forever immortalized in the best memes on the internet, but now so are theirs before and after transformations. Most of these memes have gotten better over time. Even though years have passed, their funny faces from the best memes are still relevant.

Scumbag Steve is actually named Blake, and this picture at his grandma’s house made a legendary meme. Nowadays, Blake is especially active on Twitter and hardly looks like the scumbag he used to be. This image was posted on Reddit in January 2011. A young man in the photo is identified as Blake Boston, also known as “Weezy B.”

In ‘Know Your Meme,’ Blake revealed that the picture was captured by his mother. “I have no regrets in my life …no matter what I’ve done. I can completely mess up, and I still don’t regret it. Because at the end of the day, that makes me who I am, so I wouldn’t go back and change anything if I were to go back in time.”

After going viral as the overly attached girlfriend meme in 2012, Laina Morris rose to prominence as a Youtuber, gaining over 1 million subscribers. She’s gradually slowed down on the vlogging but remains active on social media as a dog lover and generally joyful person.

It wasn’t an easy road from here meme origin to YouTube success, Morris has spoken about her privacy difficulties following the meme’s success. “Strangers were finding my personal Facebook account and messaging with my friends. They were finding where I worked and trying to access my college documents,” Morris recalls.

Kyle managed to make some money off the meme, and nowadays he’s a married man and helping his dad’s construction company build churches. The Photo was first posted on January 23rd, 2012 by Kyle’s long-time friend with a caption “Takes driving test .?.?. gets first DUI.”

Since 2005, the term ‘First World Problems,” has regularly been used to explain everyday frustrations that are not real problems when looked through the grand scheme of life. This has included complaints about slow internet, getting a bad haircut, or running out of phone battery.

While she may be the face of your first world problems, Silvia Bottini is actually a successful Italian actress. She’s active on social media, and according to a recent interview, she’s actually working on a feature film about what it’s like to become a meme.

When Drew Scanlon was just minding his business, watching his buddy play a game back in 2013, there is no way he could have known his blinking in astonishment would become the biggest meme of 2017.

Two years later, he’s running a successful Youtube page and has over 1,6000 patrons supporting his endeavors on Patreon. The meme came from a live stream shot when Scanlon watched as editor-in-chief Jeff Gerstmann played Starbound. “I’ve been doing some farming,” Gerstmann narrated, Scanlon reacted with the expression now known as the “Blinking White Guy.”

You run a marathon, and you should be out of breath and looking completely insane, right? Well, not for Zeddie Little, who somehow managed to be photogenic in the most ridiculous situation imaginable. According to his Instagram, Zeddie is still out there running marathons and looking good while he does it.

When asked about the interest behind the meme, Little replied: “I don’t really know, but I kinda feel honored to be part of a joke that’s in good spirit because sometimes the Internet can be malicious. But these are all positive. It’s funny that everybody is kind of taking to it. It’s, I guess, one of the most flattering ways to get spread across the Internet.”

Clarence is one of the rare meme subjects that managed to stay out of the spotlight. In 2012, Redditor duckareokay submitted a post to the /r/AdviceAnimals[3] subreddit titled “A true moment of clarity” featuring a photograph (shown left) of a man mimicking the Suddenly Clarity Clarence with the caption “I’m a meme.”

Redditor Badk1d replied to the thread claiming his classmate Will G from southern California was the real Clarity Clarence and presented this photo as evidence.

Believe it or not, the Confused Math Lady is not Julia Roberts, and it’s successful Brazilian actress Renata Sorrah. And the meme isn’t from Julia randomly being puzzled, and it’s a scene from the telenovela, Senhora do Destino in which Renata is best known for portraying Nazaré Tedesco.

Because of her jovial personality, images of her have been photoshopped into reaction image. There is even a fan page devoted to posting these kinds of pictures of her. She lives in Rio de Janeiro and this year she will turn 73 years old.

I’m not exactly sure why this good boy became the face of the doge meme, but this fluffy little guy is, and he fits perfectly. Well, he’s an Instagram superstar now, and he’s not a puppy anymore, but he’s still a good boy.

But Conceited wasn’t sitting around waiting for his big break, these days he’s one of the stars of MTV’s Wild’n Out and internationally known.

Kalin Elisabeth was trying to get into the perfect pose for a new Instagram picture when she accidentally became one of the biggest memes of 2018.

A YouTuber named Cassy Athena uploaded an episode of the series ‘Thru The Lens,’ featuring a day in the life of young Nick Young. During the clip, Young makes a puzzled expression on his face when his mother claims that he was “a clown” in his early years.

A screen capture of the scene was subsequently circulated online. Nick played a short stint with the Denver Nuggets this year, but it looks like his career might just be made these days.

Antoine Dodson was on the news one minute talking to a reporter about an attack on his sister, after the video became viral during the middle of 2010, a remix of the interview by Schmoyoho widely spread online, gathering more than 130 million views over the next seven years.

The very next minute, he’s famous worldwide thanks to the meme he became. Now, he’s enjoying a music career and reporting to his fans almost daily on Instagram. Antoine Dodson is trying to start his own reality tv show.

The disaster girl is actually Zoe Roth, and yes, that picture is real. Judging by her quite popular Instagram, Zoe is well traveled these days, and while she’s still a 4-year-old fire starter to the internet, she’s an adult now and clearly, she has a sense of humor about the whole thing.

On The Dr. Phil Show YouTube channel, a clip was uploaded in which a teenage girl named Danielle appeared on the show, along with her mother, who has turned to Dr. Phil because Danielle has been stealing cars.

Tired of the audience laughing at how she talks, she cries, “Catch me outside, how about that?” Now, she’s Bhad Bhabie, a gold-selling rapper with a big record deal with Atlantic Records.

Gavin is the name of a child starring in the below meme, who rose to fame online through his appearances in videos uploaded by Vine star Nick Mastodon. Different images of his facial expressions are generally used as reaction images to express disbelief, doubt, and confusion.

The running joke is that Gavin, and all of his hilarious expressions, is the internet’s child. Thanks to his actual parents, we all get to watch our little guy grow up on social media thanks to the constant updates.

When Nick Fraser covered Next’s “Too Close,” there’s no way he could have known he’d become an internet sensation and the face of one of the funniest and most used memes ever. On August 29th, 2015, Viner Nicholas Fraser uploaded a short clip titled “That one person that’s sways lying on what they own,” featuring himself listening to another person telling a lie.

Now, he’s making his own life as an entertainer, and he’s the first thing you think of whenever somebody lies to you.

Sammy was just an 11 months old baby when he had the most epic fist pump ever, and little Sam was successful at more than just this incredible picture as his newfound fame helped get momentum behind a crowdfunding effort when he dad needed a kidney transplant.

The meme originated in 2007 after Laney Griner uploaded a photograph of her son Sammy trying to eat sand to Flickr. Laney embraced the “Success Kid” concept. She said that her son gets embarrassed by his association with the meme.

I am a commercial fisherman.” He included a few pictures of the man he claims is the real Good Guy Greg. Several users have disputed that this is the real Good Guy Greg.

Surprise! The Sheltering Suburban mom is actually the famed romance novelist Carly Phillips! The meme pokes fun at the stereotype of a suburban, overprotective mother who fails to practice what she preaches to her children. The series became widespread through advice animal hub sites like Quickmeme and Reddit’s subreddit.

“Carly Phillips” is the pen name that novelist Karen Drogin has used as her alias for twenty-three best-selling contemporary romance novels that she has written.

In 2010, the Attractive Convict won over the hearts of hundreds of men when her DUI mugshot hit the internet. Her photo was so swoon worthy that guys couldn’t resist proclaiming their love for her. A few of them even asked for her hand in marriage.

“I don’t even think it’s that good a picture – there are other ones I would prefer,” she said. However, that phase of her life is over as Meagan Mccullough prefers to focus on being a good mother to her four children. It’s kind of hard to be a great role model when a photo like this is permanently floating around on the internet.

Annoying Facebook Girl was an infamous meme that featured a teenage girl making a very cringeworthy face. This meme was created in 2010 and quickly spread its way across Facebook news feeds.

The photo from where this meme was pulled from was discovered. However, there are still questions regarding who the girl in the picture is. The mystery even led to an entire internet hoax on Reddit.

Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney had no idea that she would become an internet sensation with this unimpressed face that she made during the 2012 Olympics. She just couldn’t contain her disappointment in only securing a silver medal.

Her grimaced face was apparently super relatable, as tons of people created memes to express their own displeasures in life. The memes became so popular that former president Barack Obama got in on the fun during her visit to the White House.

In 2012, this adorable monkey became the Ikea Monkey when he was photographed inside of a Canadian Ikea store while wearing a miniature overcoat. His name is Darwin and he currently lives at the Story Brook Primate Sanctuary.
